Trash Bash 4/22

Thanks to our community’s commitment to a better and healthier environment, more than 15,900 volunteers have participated in the Earth Day Trash Bash event over the past 15 years donating more than $1,000,000 in service and clearing more than 575,000 pounds of litter, brush, and debris from the Des Moines Metro area. Polk County Conservation staff will be stationed at Fort Des Moines Park offering volunteers the opportunity to engage in important habitat restoration work in our woodlands and contribute to beautifying the park by removing litter.
